RA Deputy Prime Minister Received the Delegation of Brest Region of Belarus

RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan received the delegation of Brest region of Belarus headed by the president of regional executive committee Konstantin Sumary. Marzpet Ed. Barseghyan also was present in the meeting. Agreement on collaboration between Ararat and Brest was signed today.
Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the launch of the cooperation mentioning that RA Government attaches great importance to the establishment of relations on a decentralized level both with Belalarus and other CIS states as there is a great potential of economic development in the marzes. A. Gevorgyan expressed his assurance that further collaboration between Ararat and Brest will be mutually beneficial and will have practical results for which all the preconditions are available.
Konstantin Sumar presented the opportunities of the region mentioning that particularly the processing industry is developed in the agricultural region and expressed his assurance that there are observed good perspectives for cooperation with Ararat marz. Besides, the Brest region is interesting both for its geographical position and for free economic zone. Favorable conditions are created to bring to live jointly and mutually beneficial initiations.
It was also mentioned that a visit of the delegation of Ararat marz to Brest to discuss the directions of collaboration is also planned.
