In1990 he finished school No. 28, Yerevan
1990 Orenburg State Pedagogical Institute, History Department.
1991 Institute of Public Service, St. Petersburg
1993 Institute of Public Service, St. Petersburg, diploma with honour.
1993-1996 Post-graduate course at Herzen State Pedagogical University, St. Petersburg. He defended the thesis.
1995 – 1996 University of Twente, Netherlands. MA in field of Programming of educational and training systems.
Career Experience
1997 -1998 Assistant of the RA Prime-Minister.
13 April, 1998 Assistant of the RA President, since August- post of the First Assistant of the RA President, the first Deputy Chief of Staff of the RA President
February 2006 Chief of Staff of the RA President.
From June, 2007 to April 2008 he held a position of the Secretary of National Security Council at the President’s Office.
By RA Presidential decree of April 21, 2008 Armen Gevorgyan was appointed Minister of Territorial Administration.
According to another decree of April 21, 2008 he was appointed Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
By the RA Presidential decree of May 6, 2008 Armen Gevorgyan was appointed as member of Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
By RA Presidential decree of June16, 2012 Armen Gevorgyan was reappointed Minister of Territorial Administration.
According to another decree of June16, 2012 he was reappointed Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
By the RA Presidential decrees of May 8, 2013 Armen Gevorgyan was reappointed Minister of Territorial Administration and Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia
